Overview
Wham Pay is a mobile payment app on Solana that lets users send and receive both crypto and fiat through Apple Pay, QR codes and wallet-to-wallet transfers — bringing a familiar consumer-payment experience to on-chain money. As Frontend Engineer on a 4-person team, I built the React Native app from the ground up: the navigation and screen architecture, the send/receive and QR flows, and the wallet and balance UI. I integrated Privy for social login (Google/X), so users can onboard with an account they already have and get a self-custodial wallet provisioned behind the scenes — no seed phrases to manage. The result is a polished, production-oriented client that abstracts away blockchain complexity: Apple Pay for fiat on-ramp, QR for quick peer payments, and instant Solana settlement under the hood.
